Live at the Portland arms
Belated release of a live performance taped in November 1978. Initially on sale as a mail-order cassette, subsequently issued on vinyl. At the time of writing, this is the only place Hitchcock's amusing "The Duke of Squeeze" may be heard.
This gig included three more songs, not put onto the album. "Caroline Says" is not available but the other two, "Postman’s Knock" and "Wey Wey Hep Uh Hole" have appeared on bootlegs. |
Note: the date of this gig has been disputed, some claimng it was taped on 13 January 1979. Additionally another gig at the Portland Arms on 17 March 1979 was also recorded, and from there, "Deck of Cards" appeared on the bootleg, Invisible History, where it is also (wrongly) dated to November 1978. That track was released officially here.
